Refund & Subscription Policy

This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions and digital access purchased through www.moatpeak.com.
1. Nature of the service
MoatPeak provides access to digital subscription content, including research reports, commentary, archives, dashboards, and other materials delivered electronically.
2. Merchant of record and payment processing
Where Stripe Managed Payments is used, Stripe may act as merchant of record for the transaction and may handle payment processing, tax collection, fraud prevention, disputes, and certain transaction-related support functions.
3. General rule
Because MoatPeak provides digital content and digital subscription access delivered electronically, refunds are generally not available once access has been granted or the subscription term has started, except where required by applicable law or where a refund is expressly granted in our discretion.
4. Immediate access and consumer rights
By completing your purchase, you request that digital access begin as soon as possible after payment.
If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under applicable law. Where permitted by law, once digital access begins, your right to withdraw or receive a refund may be limited.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law, including rights relating to digital content or digital services that are faulty, not as described, or otherwise not in conformity with the contract.
5. When we may offer a refund
We may offer a full or partial refund, billing correction, or account credit in cases such as:
- duplicate charges;
- billing errors;
- unauthorized payments confirmed after review;
- technical failures on our side that prevented reasonable access to the paid service;
- other situations where we determine that a refund is appropriate.
6. When refunds are normally not provided
Refunds are normally not provided for:
- change of mind after digital access has begun;
- failure to use the subscription;
- dissatisfaction based solely on market outcomes or investment performance;
- misunderstanding of the informational and educational nature of the service where this was clearly disclosed;
- failure to cancel before renewal.
7. Cancellation of renewal
You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through your account settings or by contacting info@moatpeak.com.
If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period, and no future renewal charge will be taken unless you subscribe again.
8. How to request a refund
To request a refund or report a billing issue, contact info@moatpeak.com and include:
- the email address associated with your account;
- the date of the charge;
- the amount charged;
- the reason for the request;
- any relevant supporting details.
9. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe a charge is unauthorized or incorrect, please contact us first so we can review the issue and try to resolve it.
If your payment was processed by Stripe as merchant of record, certain disputes or chargeback processes may also be handled through Stripe’s payment and dispute systems.
Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in suspension or termination of your account where permitted by law.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
